Culture
As a Leader in Me school, we operate in the paradigm of developing the whole child. While we do place a heavy importance on academics, we also intentionally create an empowering culture where students can discover and apply their unique interests, talents, and skills quarterly through C.L.U.B.S. (Carter Leaders Unite By Synergizing). Some examples of the clubs available to students are art, technology, science, book, games, sportsmanship, cheer, math, makerspace, animal, Lego, STEAM, etc.
Academic
The school-wide W.I.G. is for 100% of students will meet their reading and math goal but May 22, 2024.
All students participate in clubs. All students are required to participate in a service project ranging from representing the school, performing, or crafting items for others.
Leadership
All students have a leadership roll at Carter. There are classroom and school wide leadership roles such as broadcast, flag patrol, bulletin board leaders, etc.
